We did it, again!
DONATE Update – the 2nd SisterSMATR Fab Lab We did it, again! Fab Lab 2018 -2019 Commencement and Celebration at Robert F. Wagner Jr. Tech
SisterSMATR seeks to disrupt these patterns of exclusion by supporting young women of color to break through negative socialization and providing training, tech and mentoring resources to help them become more capable and competitive in the work world. Working with some of the greatest minds in the arts, sciences and technology, we are creating platforms that leverage art and community in inclusive and innovative ways to help remove the barriers facing these future women leaders. SisterSMATR is a unique approach to building the mastery, confidence and skills necessary for young women of color to play their role as global citizens, and realize their dreams to succeed.
SisterSMATR leverages art and community bridging the gender gap in science and technology.
SisterSMATR is a new organization of women with goals, dreams, ideals and partners who are willing ‘to reach for the stars’, some of them literally, to address the needs of and provide opportunities for young women of color in science, technology, robotics, the arts and entrepreneurship.

Perhaps as importantly, SisterSMATR is a collaborative of dynamic women artists and scientists led by renowned music pioneer and cultural icon Nona Hendryx. Together, we are not only building skills, we are helping a new generation of girls to shatter stereotypes by using culture as a gateway to achieving science and technology mastery.
